Traveler Reviews

What Wildfern trekkers say

Real trips, real feedback — from the people who walked them.

★★★★★

"I usually don't write reviews, but this trip was worth it. Everything happened as promised, there were no hidden surprises, and the team was always available when we needed help. Looking forward to doing another trek with Wildfern soon."

— Akash Jha · Valley of Flowers Trek
★★★★★

"This was my first trip with Wildfern Treks and it turned out to be one of my best travel experiences. The whole journey felt easy and stress-free. Everyone was friendly, and I always felt safe. Thank you for making it such a lovely trip."

— Priya Sharma · Triund Trek
★★★★★

"My partner and I only had two days for Varanasi during the New Year period, when everything was crowded and hard to organize. The Wildfern team met us in Rishikesh and planned the entire trip — transport, stay, sightseeing, all arranged perfectly. Varanasi became one of the highlights of our India trip."

Common Questions

Before You Book

Message us on WhatsApp or use the enquire button with your preferred trek and dates. Our team confirms availability, batch details, and next steps directly with you.

Yes — every batch is led by local guides who know the route and the region. Ask us about specific guide experience for the trek you're considering.

Each card shows a difficulty gauge — one dot for easy, three for challenging. If you're unsure what fits your fitness level, message us and we'll help you pick.

Yes — solo trekkers are welcome on our group departures. You'll be trekking alongside others in the batch.

Booking amount is non-refundable once a trek is confirmed. Cancel 30+ days before departure: 50% refund of the trip cost. 15–30 days before: 25% refund. Within 15 days: no refund. If Wildfern cancels a trek before departure, you get a full refund or a free transfer to a future batch. If a trek is disrupted mid-way by a natural calamity (landslide, extreme weather, etc.), the unused portion isn't refundable, but we'll help arrange the safest alternative — any extra costs from the disruption are the traveler's responsibility. Force majeure events (pandemic, war, government restrictions) are handled case-by-case.

Included: All entry permits, forest fees, and camping charges; all meals during the trek (vegetarian, hygienically prepared); accommodation for the trek duration (tents/camps/guesthouses as per itinerary); an experienced trek leader and local support staff; first-aid and basic emergency equipment; shared camping infrastructure (tents, dining/kitchen setup); all applicable taxes.

Not included: Transport to/from the base camp or meeting point (unless specified); personal trekking gear — clothing, footwear, sleeping bag, backpack (see gear policy below); personal expenses and tips; travel insurance; optional add-on activities outside the standard itinerary; any extra costs from itinerary changes due to weather, roadblocks, illness, or personal reasons.

Trekkers need to arrange their own trekking gear — sturdy trekking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a good backpack, and personal essentials. We'll share a detailed packing list once your trek is confirmed, and our team is happy to advise on what you'll specifically need for your chosen route and season.
